Let's delve into ancient times when the Goddess was revered by all as sacred. We can do much to learn from the ancient Ones to see how we can best live in these times which are a'changing. thanks to all those who help keep the essence of the Goddess alive and welcome to wonderland.
As the days grow ever shorter and the moonlight begins to wane, we think of these Lammas days and realise how true every word our Mother spoke was. We think of her smiling face and Her eternal Grace and we remember the days of our own motherhood gladly. Everything we do to the Web we do to ourselves. As I watch my children grow I find more truth in their little souls than has ever been known. Their lives upon this Earth are sacred and it is us the mothers who need to nurture the Seeds of Love to make sure all is well for them always. Blessed BE
Demeter and Her daughter Persephone tell a sorrowful tale. They were the story behind the seasons of the year as Demeter's waning heart brought about first autumn then winter. Her daughter's safe return to her world gave us the springtime and Earth's natural paradise of summer! As the wheel turns we could do well to remember this story and how it has touched our lives in it's essence. A longing heart can bring many gifts. If you think of autumn time and it's rich rewards we can see how with each turn life prepares us for the future. "The heart of the matter" is a saying that brings home the Truth! We are essentially sentient beings and need to recognise this in others. We are all too easily focused on matters of the mind when we need to see beyond! Our understanding of humankind comes from our own personal perception of life and bringing the realm of sentience otherwise left to animals. They have heightened senses that understand more about us than we know. We can learn so much from totem teachings and shape shifting. The power of dance is essential! Welcome to wonderland!
The realm of the heart is the essential fourth aspect of the Medicine Wheel that brings together the worlds of mind, body and spirit often spoken of , in a centred balanced way. We are centred in our Heart Chakra and it is just so! As we learn to understand our hearts we open to a new way of being where sentience comes to the fore. We feel our way (!) through life. We acknowledge and appreciate with empathy people's feelings! It's a glorious new world of feelings and emotions that come from deep within our hearts!
An Irish or Celtic Goddess be Erin of the Ways. I understand that "the Ways" means much to those of us following a positive pagan path. However many sources we take as our guide, we learn to mould them into one magical path forward into the future of humanity. Imagine a ball of clay, pieces break away as you mould and because of the nature of the clay we can happily smooth out the edges and make the finished piece whole again!
Erin of the Ways is a Goddess of Britain that is still celebrated and I imagine was one to walk the song lines, the Earth energy lines indeed as we now call them the ley-lines of this beautiful country of ours.
As we celebrated times of the seasonal year such as Summer Solstice or Litha, we travelled far and wide to meet up at such places as Stonehenge for a gathering to sing about. The travellers would sing their way around Britain much as Bards still do to this day and sing the Earth alive. It is of Erin we wimmin would sing at this Solstice time of year as She is celebrated with others at this special time of summer's peak.
I imagine Her, our Erin of the Ways, with bright shining golden red hair and a big smile. I feel She was and is One to celebrate the way of Celts to their strongest power. A peaceful Goddess celebrated in times of peace such as Solstice when all were together as one. I believe life is like a rainbow full of many beautiful colours and people are much the same. Erin teaches us that whatever path we walk we will all end up at the same destination. Indeed to be whole we need to be true to our heart and this gives us the beginnings of finding our personal path. A path of a heart!
We help bring about rebirth
for human and animal alike
Have young to care for
blessed ones
who aim to please
Just as do their oldies
everyone likes to be pleased
Yes we do
everything happy
everything new
"if you seek love
So shall ye find"
Be careful and true
It's nice to be kind!
Welcome the spring
What do we find?
Flowers in abundance
Wait for the summer
With patience and virtue
Unicorns may prance
Blessings of Ostara be yours...
As we pass this midwinter night
The deep dark yearning gives way to new light
Come the morn, the Sun lord is bright
Ever shining in the light
As I look behind at a year so carefully travelled
I look to the dawn of a brighter day
May I find happiness come what may
Let my children play
Life life so gay
Happiness is coming in abundance
To all who seek the light of love
Gentle guidance from above
When lightning strikes
It hits on target every time
Cupid's bow is right to the point
The arrows of love shower from the heavens
Welcome to a new world!
blessings from above
Defending the lord Shiva
She protects
She fights for what She believes in
She loves with all Her might
she dances day and night
To save Her Shiva!
the aspect of Kali in Our soul
Helps us to feel whole
To become at one with the dark Lady
To be the essence of purity
To believe in Ourselves
To protect our man
To wear a mantle of power
to be with Our soul's deepest aspects
to allow our feelings light
To shine ever bright
Blessed be
